Charity Ride Revival brings NASCAR legends to Bedford

Lynchburg & Central Virginia News

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Former NASCAR drivers Kyle and Richard Petty made a pit stop in Bedford County on Tuesday.

It was part of Kyle Petty’s “Charity Ride Revival,” a mini version of his annual Charity Ride Across America.

The group stopped by the D-Day Memorial along with some other NASCAR favorites Harry Grant and David Ragan.

The ride raises money and awareness for Victory Junction, a camp dedicated to providing life-changing experiences for kids with chronic and serious illnesses.

In the last 27 years, the ride has raised more than $19 million for children’s charities.
