Campbell County authorities warn of sporadic 911 outage for mobile users

RUSTBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Authorities issued a warning about a potential service disruption in Campbell County for those using wireless devices who are attempting to dial 911.

“The issue appears to be intermittent; however, at the present time, the interruption of direct dial of 9-1-1 seems to be isolated to wireless users within the Campbell County boundary.”

If you need to contact 911 for an emergency and you cannot get through, you are asked to call one of the non-emergency numbers until service has been properly restored:

  • (434) 592-9574
