CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Expecting to find a brush fire, Campbell County firefighters ended up battling a blaze that ravaged a building in the Concord area Monday night.

According to the Concord Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to an initial call on Monday, April 25 about a brush fire that was threatening a structure.

However, when units arrived at the scene, they realized the blaze was a fully-involved structure fire. The department says it requested mutual aid, so Rustburg volunteer firefighters responded to the scene to assist.
