Bedford Fire Department evacuates building and patients after high levels of carbon monoxide detected

BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR)— The Bedford Fire Department is at Harmony Crossing Drive, where there are high levels of carbon monoxide due to a propane leak.

According to the department, arriving units detected the high levels of gas and started immediately evacuating the building and triaging patients.

Fire officials say a total of eight patients were treated on scene and transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Lynchburg General Hospital.
