Bedford County Sheriff’s Office searching for man in connection with car break-ins

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple car break-ins in the Patterson Mill Road area that occurred between Nov. 12 and Nov. 15.

Authorities say they have obtained multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants against 21-year-old Richard Allen Cherry of Goodview, in connection with the break-ins.

At this time, the sheriff’s office says Cherry’s whereabouts are unknown.

If you have any information that can help locate Cherry, you are asked to contact the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 540-586-7827 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900. Anyone calling Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds citizens to remember to lock their vehicles at night.
