Bedford County Sheriff’s Office looking for woman connected with passing counterfeit money

UPDATE 6:38 a.m. (7/26/21): The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office announced late Friday night that a woman wanted in connection with counterfeit currency has been located and taken into custody.


BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman connected with passing counterfeit money in the southside part of the county.

Authorities say an arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Melissa Ann Parks of Roanoke, for forging coin or bank notes.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Parks you are asked to call dispatch at (540) 586-7827 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900. A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information.
