APPOMATTOX COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Authorities are searching for a man following a Sunday night armed robbery at Evergreen Super Stop in Appomattox.
The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office says the owner of the Evergreen Super Stop at 13372 Richmond Highway reported an armed robbery shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.
According to authorities, the owner said a man entered the store, attacked the owner, threatened the owner and the other clerk with a gun, and left on foot with some cash.
The sheriff’s office describes the man as wearing a black mask and red clothing.
Virginia State Police and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office reportedly provided immediate assistance in this case.
