LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Starting in the late summertime, visitors who enter the River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg will be able to enjoy the smell — not to mention the taste — of fresh baked cinnamon rolls and golden brown pretzels.
On Wednesday, March 3, River Ridge announced that an Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon location is slated to open next to the soon-to-be renovated Food Hall and across from Kay Jewelers.
Representatives say both stores will be featured in a single location to offer River Ridge shoppers a one-stop-shop for a fresh snack or beverage.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring such well-known and loved businesses to River Ridge,” said Louise Dudley, general manager at River Ridge. “Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon will make wonderful additions to the property, especially as we continue progress on our Food Hall.”
Auntie Anne’s will feature their “classic hand-rolled, soft pretzels” in various flavors with a range of dipping sauces, as well as Pretzel Dogs, Mini Pretzel Dogs, and Pretzel Nuggets, according to River Ridge.
Meanwhile, Cinnabon will reportedly be serving their iconic cinnamon rolls, baked goods, and signature beverages, such as cold brew iced coffee.
The mall says Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon are the newest additions to River Ridge as it continues its ongoing redevelopment, which was first announced in 2019.
“We are delighted to bring these iconic treats to River Ridge,” said Amit Sehgal with Impeccable Brands, a Virginia-based franchise group that owns and operates the River Ridge location. “It is exciting to add to the redevelopment of a local community destination and become a part of the River Ridge family.”
