AMHERST, Va. (WFXR) — Come out for fun, food, fireworks, games, rides, and live music at the Amherst County Fair from now through Sunday!
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 and at noon on Saturday, Oct. 23 and Sunday, Oct. 24.
Admission is $3 per person Friday and Sunday, but $5 per person for admission on Saturday. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $25 each. A discount is available if you buy your ride wristband online in advance.
Visitors are encouraged to follow COVID-19 guidelines specified by the CDC including social distancing while at the Fair. Masks are required when on the shuttle buses and in the livestock tent. Masks are optional in all other areas of the Fair.
Those who are exempt from the mask requirement include:
- Children under the age of 2
- Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, a person with a disability who cannot wear a mask or safely wear a mask
- Anyone, if wearing a mask, it would pose a risk to workplace health, safety, or job duty as determined by relevant workplace safety guidelines or federal regulations
Please be advised no pets, weapons, or outside alcohol is allowed.
