ALTAVISTA, Va. (WFXR) — The Town of Altavista is gearing up for summer! The town’s Splash Pad in English Park will be open to the public this weekend.
However, continuous use will begin on Saturday, May 29, and run through Labor Day. The Splash Pad is open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Users are reminded that swim diapers are required for infants; regular diapers are not allowed on the splash pad. Visitors must follow all CDC guidelines for outdoor recreational activities, including the need to socially distance when possible. There is also no lifeguard on duty.
Capacity will be temporarily set to no more than 100 individuals at any time in and around the splash pad. This is to ensure proper social distancing until additional restrictions are fully lifted.
Any changes in capacity will be updated on-site and on the town’s website and social media pages.
