Altavista gas station offering $1,000 reward for info after Tuesday armed robbery

ALTAVISTA, Va. (WFXR) — Police are asking for the Altavista community’s help identifying a person in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station Tuesday night.

According to the Altavista Police Department, at approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, word came in about a robbery that took place at GB at 1043 Main Street.

The department describes the suspect as a male who was approximately 5’10” tall and wearing a black hoodie and grey pants.

Police say the individual pulled out a knife during the robbery before leaving with some money from the gas station.

There are no reports of injuries resulting from this armed robbery.

According to officials, the owner of GB is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
