LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Several weeks after a Lynchburg pregnancy center was vandalized following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Attorney General Jason Miyares and a few local lawmakers plan to tour the facility.

The attorney general’s office says Miyares will be visiting the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center on Wednesday, July 13, along with state Sen. Steve Newman, state Sen. Mark Peake, Del. Wendell Walker, law enforcement officers, and Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center Executive Director Susan Campbell.

The vandalism and property damage at the pregnancy center took place on June 25, less than 24 hours after the Supreme Court’s ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

As seen in the photographs shared by the department, one of the phrases spray painted on the pregnancy center says “IF ABORTION AIN’T SAFE YOU AIN’T SAFE!”

As of this writing, police are still investigating the vandalism at the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center, so if you have any information about that incident, you are asked to call Detective Dubie at 434-941-9937 or Crime Stoppers at 888-798-5900.
