“It made me sick,“ said Rob Mazza, security at Shishka.
“Just disheartening to me to think that someone that was in line paying money to come in here would actually turn around and steal from us,“ said Kim Mertz, Manager of Shishka.
Manager of Shishka, Kim Mertz, says around 12:30 Sunday morning a fight broke out outside the bar and grill.
As her staff was dealing with the situation out front, she says someone stole the cash box with the cover fees in it.
“We did have someone watching the box, but that person was also concerned about everyone’s well-being. He just happened to take a step forward to see how we were and when he did, this person took advantage of an opportunity,“ said Kim Mertz, Manager of Shishka.
Shishka is offering a 500 dollar reward for information leading to an arrest.
At this point they say it’s not about the money.
“We want to know who they are so that we can make sure it doesn’t happen to another business and it doesn’t happen to us,“ said Kim Mertz, Manager of Shishka.
The business say because it was St. Patrick’s Day weekend, they don’t know who the person could be.
“I consider most of my customers, my friends, so to think that one of my friends might have done this, makes me angry and sick,“ said Kim Mertz, Manager of Shishka.
