Liberty University law enforcement officials said they have received several reports of a person claiming to be a sergeant with the Liberty University Police Department. The reports claim the person is calling parents and informing them their child has been arrested and a payment is required for a bail bondsman.

  1. Ask for the officer’s name and badge number
  2. Hang up
  3. Call dispatch at 434-592-7641
  4. Request to be transferred back to that officer
