The reports claim the person is calling parents and informing them their child has been arrested and a payment is required for a bail bondsman.
Liberty University public safety said after reviewing reports, it was determined the calls occurred around 2:30 a.m. In the reports, the caller or callers have used several names; however, the content of the messages remains similar.

- Ask for the officer’s name and badge number
- Hang up
- Call dispatch at 434-592-7641
