Law enforcement hopes to strengthen community ties during National Night Out

National Night Out is Tuesday August 1st. 

It is where law enforcement agencies across the country provide community events to strengthen those relationships. 

Here are some of the events going on in Southwest Virginia this year. 

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office celebrates National Night Out

Location: Westlake area in front of the Westlake Cinema

Time: 6pm – 8pm


Roanoke City

Airlee Court Neighborhood Watch Association “Lights on Against Crime”
Where:  Airlee Court neighbors are being asked to turn on all of their outside lights for the night and continue with at least 1 light the rest of the year at night. It costs very little to do this if using LED lights.
