It’s been almost a year since a Cave Spring High School student lost her battle with cancer, but friends and family are determined that she is never forgotten.
The Kendall Bayne Foundation has raised more than 27 thousand dollars in the few short months since it has started.
The foundation named after the Cave Spring student is now hard at work, planning a “Fall Fashionable Fundraiser and Luncheon.”
Organizers say these events are meant to keep the spirit of Kendall Bayne alive in her honor.
“She was positive, always had grace, always had dignity. Really was a great person and she was really beloved in the Roanoke community and I felt like Kendall as a person should not have been forgotten,” said Maverick Helmer, founder of the Kendall Bayne Foundation.
The fashion show, is scheduled for November 11th, from 11 to 1:30 at the Roanoke Country Club.
