DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Several community organizations in Danville hope to motivate students to take part in a tutoring program by pairing it with basketball play.
The program called “Hoop Don’t Shoot” will have an open house today, Jan. 16, from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army located at 123 Henry St.
The the event will encourage students and parents to learn about the church-based tutoring service offered by the Salvation Army and register their child.
Project Imagine and the Danville Police Department are sponsors for this program.
