Home ‘total loss’ after Sunday fire in Troutville

TROUTVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A family is homeless after a fire Sunday in Troutville.

The Troutville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire around 1 p.m. Sunday at a home on Gravelly Ridge Road. Smoke poured from the home when crews arrived on scene.

“Unfortunately the home was a total loss,” the Facebook post from the Troutville Volunteer Fire Department said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Troutville Volunteer Fire Department told WFXR that the Red Cross is assisting the family of four during this time.
