Henry County Deputies: Man shot in home, treated and released for minor gunshot wound

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on Tuesday afternoon at a home in the 70 block of Ridgemont Circle in Collinsville. Emergency personnel transported a man to the hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

According to the sheriff’s office, three suspects, including one man acquainted with the victim, entered the man’s home through an open door on March 17 at 1:51 p.m. One of the suspects displayed a small-caliber rifle, demanded money, and fired at the man, said the sheriff’s office.

The victim was treated and released from SOVAH health Martinsville for the minor gunshot wound.

According to the sheriff’s office, two of the suspects wore dark-colored hooded shirts and masks.
