Henry County crash leaves 1 woman dead, 11-year-old injured

A 42-year-old woman is dead and an 11-year-old child is hurt after a crash in Henry County Friday. 

State officials reported that Michelle Dawn Franklin and a 11-year-old passenger were not wearing seatbelts at the time of  the crash. The child was taken to the hospital. State police did not release the extent of the child’s injuries.

According to police, the crash happened Friday Nov. 23 around 3:25 pm on Route 606, north of Route 656 in Henry County. 

A 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling north on Route 606 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected crossing the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.
