FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Governor Ralph Northam was in Franklin County earlier Tuesday for the economic announcement, regarding a nearly $30-million investment and the creation of 56 new jobs in the area and while there, he commented on Monday’s Lobby Day in Richmond.
“I think it’s perfectly normal and right for all of us to advocate [for] what we believe in. We say 22,000 people, many of them from Virginia and some of them came from other states. We also had an election on November 5th. Over 2 million people voted and you know what? They spoke. They said they wanted common-sense legislation. They said enough is enough of this gun violence.”Governor Ralph Northam
Governor Northam also said that when it came to common-sense legislation, he was referring to items like universal background checks which, he says, 90 percent of Virginians agree with.
