(WFXR) — Need a little something to perk you up on a Monday morning? How about a video of a stolen dog eagerly reuniting with his owner after being found at a New River Valley campsite?

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office originally posted pictures of the male blue heeler on Facebook on Sunday, July 11, trying to verify the welfare of the dog’s owner(s) after the dog was found at a campsite in the McCoy area along Goodwin’s Ferry Road, about half a mile from the Montgomery County line.

Less than four hours later, though, the sheriff’s office shared a video of a very happy reunion between the blue heeler and his owner.

However, authorities say the dog’s microchip confirmed he had been stolen from Craig County. If you have any information about who took this dog from his owners, you are asked to call (540) 921-3842.
