The kissing booth will stay open until 4 p.m., but the special $20 adoption rate for dogs and free adoption for cats will continue until 5 p.m. for those with approved applications, according to RCACP.
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A kissing booth at the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP), gives animal lovers a chance to receive a smooch from a pooch this Valentine’s Day.
The funds raised at RCACP’s Smooch-A-Thon go towards dogs in need of heartworm treatment. Roanoke Fire-EMS firefighters will be at hand to facilitate the smooches at the kissing booth, which runs from 2 – 4 p.m., according to a Facebook post from RCACP.
An adoption special rate of $20 for dogs and no fee for cat adoptions will be offered to those with an approved application from 1 – 5 p.m.
