GALAX, Va. (WFXR) — Crews from the Galax Fire Department found themselves fighting a trailer full of burning hay bales on Saturday afternoon.
As seen on the department’s social media, firefighters responded to a fire at 2067 Hebron Road at 11:53 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28. Units arrived on scene to find a trailer loaded with burning round bales.
The department says that the trailer was already detached from its truck by the time firefighters arrived. Crews then proceeded to unload and extinguish each bale one at a time.
By 1:30 p.m., firefighters cleared the scene.
