Franklin County Sheriff’s Office investigating possible armed robbery

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a report of a possible armed robbery in Ferrum.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 911 came in at approximately 11:20 am Monday for a possible armed robbery in the 5700 block of Providence Church Road.

When deputies arrived on-scene, they interviewed the victim who said that property was stolen during the incident.

The victim reported the robber as being a white male, 6-foot-tall, with possibly brown hair who was wearing a short-sleeve shirt, shorts, and a mask.

Deputies also say he is expected to have a firearm in his possession.
