Franklin County paving project to temporarily close ramps along Route 220 starting Sunday

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Franklin County commuters may need to alter their travel route between Sunday evening and Tuesday morning due to ramp closures along Route 220 while crews are paving.

According to the Franklin County Department of Public Safety, the northbound ramp off Route 220 to 220 Business will be closed from 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, to 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10.

In addition, officials say the southbound ramp off Route 220 to 220 Business will be closed from 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

“Please allow yourself extra travel time, and drive safe!” the Franklin County Department of Public Safety wrote on Facebook on Saturday, Aug. 8.
