FLOYD, Va. (WFXR) — Many flock to FloydFest every year to enjoy the different types of music, but for some, there’s more that keeps them coming back: the community.
FloydFest has been around for nearly two decades. Since the beginning, some event-goers continue to make the trek up the Blue Ridge Mountains for the musical experience and for their FloydFest family.
For some, they only see their friends once a year because of the festival.
“A group of people with a shared ethos and the love of music and unintentionally to have fun, and enjoy each other’s company once a year for a few days,” said event-goer, Brad Trevillian.
The homegrown festival lasts through Sunday, July 25.
