Ferrum College wins culture competition

A culture competition between several universities in Southwest Virginia has come to a close and a winner has been determined.

The competition was part of Hispanic Heritage Month, and students competed by representing countries and cultures of Latin American through food, dance, and architecture.
Video of the school’s presentations were put online for the world to vote on who did the best.
And the winner is:

“The university that got the most shares, likes, and comments was Ferrum College,” said Carolina Smales, the competition organizer.

Smales says she along with her many other colleagues are already planning for next year’s competition.
