Father-daughter duo writes children’s book inspired by Smith Mountain Lake

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A father-daughter duo from Roanoke wrote a children’s book inspired by Smith Mountain Lake, but they need the community’s help to get it published.

Miriam Wagner joined WFXR News from Indiana while her father, Trace McGeath, joined in from Roanoke for a live interview on “Good Day Virginia” about the book, which is titled “Rae’s Lake Day.”

As of this writing, the “Rae’s Lake Day” Kickstarter campaign has raised nearly $2,800 of the $4,000 goal. If you want to contribute to the project, follow this link.
