Elliston, VA — In 2018, protesters against the Mountain Valley Pipeline made national headlines by sitting in trees in protest against construction.
Now, tree sitters say they want the fight to continue in 2019.
Protesters have been perched in tree sits on Yellow Finch Lane for 119 days, blocking the path of the pipeline.
On Friday, courts will hear a lawsuit against the tree sitters. If they are found guilty, they could possibly be removed from their stands immediately after the hearing.
