David Eisenhauer’s trial was originally set for Monday, March 6th, but the judge delayed it to allow the defense more time to review evidence.
Wednesday the judge heard six motions brought by David Eisenhaur’s defense attorneys.
The big one’s were the judge granting the motion of discovery, meaning prosecutors and defense attorneys will have to share information they have gathered in the case.
The judge is still deciding on a motion to have cameras in the courtroom as well as having Eisenhauer dressed in civilian clothes instead of his prison uniform.
The defense lawyers also want to move the trial out of Montgomery County saying they feel David Eisenhauer can’t get a fair trial in this area because of all the media attention surrounding Nicole Lovell’s murder.
The judge says he will try to seat an impartial jury from Montgomery County but will consider a change of venue for the trial.
The court has not set a new trial date but they expect it will take place some time in the fall.
