Floyd and Pulaski County Schools dismiss early

PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Two schools in Pulaski County will release early Wednesday due to excessive heat.

In a Facebook post, the school district said Dublin and Pulaski Middle Schools would release early due to “excessive heat in classrooms.”

Parents with children in these schools are advised that classes will dismiss 2 hours early. All other schools will remain on a regular schedule Wednesday.

Dublin and Pulaski Middle Schools will dismiss 2 hours early today, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 due to extremely high temperatures in the classrooms. All other schools will remain on the regular schedule.

Floyd County Schools also announced an early dismissal, this one for all schools in the district.

The Facebook post from Floyd county said outlying schools will release at 11:30 a.m., while town schools will release at noon.
