Downtown Lynchburg’s Lower Bluffwalk got a facelift Tuesday afternoon.
The area was completed in 2015, but received a new seating area today complete with bright chairs and tables.
Lynchburg is one of the region’s fastest-growing cities, something the Downtown Lynchburg Association’s Ashley Kershner says could help inspire similar projects in the future.
“It means a lot to the city. Downtown specifically is growing incredibly quickly – we have over 1,200 residents living in just downtown alone,” she said.
Kershner says she hopes the new installation will help open up the space and get Lynchburg residents both outside and downtown.
