Dog rescued from burning house

Local News

One dog was rescued from a house fire in Northwest Roanoke. 

Firefighters were called to the house on Harrison Avenue Northwest around 6:40 p.m. Thursday for a two-alarm fire. 

Roanoke Fire & EMS said the dog was taken to an emergency veterinarian’s office. 

Investigators are now working to pinpoint the cause of the fire.
