The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested seven people in connection to recent burglaries at the same location.

Deputies said they responded to a residence on Lakemount Drive in Moneta for break ins on September 15 and 17.

That home was unoccupied and had been damaged from a recent fire.

Zachariah Markham and Brittany Nichols were charged with Breaking and Entering, Grand Larceny, and Destruction of Property.

Both are being held without bond at the Western Virginia Regional Jail.

On October 30, deputies responded once again to that home on Lakemount Drive. This time they were called about a suspicious person in that area.

Deputies said that found that person and three others with stolen items related to the break in.

Brett Halsey, Amanda Maggio, Christopher Palmero, and Joseph Stewart were all charged with Burglary and Grand Larceny.

The investigation then led deputies to arresting Keith Arrington with Burglary and Grand Larceny as well.

Halsey is being held at the Western Virginia Regional Jail without bond. Both Maggio and Palmero are being held on a $5,000 bond. Stewart bonded out on a $10,000 bond, and Arrington bonded out on a $1,500 bond.

The sheriff’s office tells WFXR, the owners of the estate have been asked to make their residence more secure.

This investigation is ongoing, and deputies said additional charges may be pending.
