Local News

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – Last week, a Danville grand jury indicted a former Danville resident with first-degree murder and related firearms offenses for shooting Fenqwan Payne on May 31, 2017.

On Aug. 28, U.S. Marshals arrested Quadarius D. Wilson, 28, without incident at his place of employment.

Back on May 31, 2017, police responded to the 700 block of Bradley Road for a report of an unresponsive male who was suffering from apparent injuries from gunshot wounds.

According to police, Payne and Wilson were acquaintances and the circumstances that lead to the killing are part of the details surrounding the investigation.

Detectives have been continuing to follow leads in the case and worked closely with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office to bring these charges.

Wilson is currently held without bond in the Danville City Jail.
