DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Danville Fire Department is set to host a fun yet safe event on Saturday to teach people about the importance of fire safety in honor of Fire Prevention Month.
According to the department, the Drive-Thru Fire Safety Event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Danville Fire Station No. 5, which is located at 114 Third Avenue.
Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to drive through the station parking lot, get free hot dogs, meet some Danville firefighters, learn about fire safety, and receive fire prevention items, officials say.
