DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Danville City Jail has received a perfect rating during a recent jail inspection by the Virginia Department of Corrections.

Danville Sheriff Mike Mondul announced the inspection covered a one year time period and was comprised of 43 Life, Health and Safety Standards established by the Virginia DOC.

Sheriff Mondul says he is very pound of the supervisors and staff in the jail responsible for helping to achieve this notoriety.

“While all staff should be acknowledged in the team achievement, special recognition goes to Captain Carrington Petty, Master Deputy Brooks, and Master Deputy Harper for their efforts during the preparatory period leading up to the inspection.
