UPDATE: Crews respond to early-morning house fire in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Crews responded an early-morning house fire in Lynchburg Thursday morning.

The Lynchburg Fire Department says the call came in at 5:34 a.m. for a fire at Fillmore and 6th Streets.

According to Battalion Chief Kenny Turner, 25 firefighters worked the fire. Crews were still putting out hot spots as of 8 a.m.

No injuries have been reported, and no one was home at the time of the fire.

The Lynchburg Fire Marshall’s Office says the cause it not yet known and an investigation is underway.
