Crews battle early morning fire in Roanoke County

A fire was reported in Roanoke County just before 4:00 A.M., on Friday.

First responders arrived to find an outbuilding behind a house, engulfed in flames. The building was in the 7100 block of Pine Needle Drive. 

According to investigators, the building was used for storage and as a wood – working shop. The outbuilding is a total loss. The roof collapsed.

No injuries were reported and there is no damage estimate.

The Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
