UPDATE: 10/28 AT 5:42 P.M. CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department says crews were dispatched to Timberlake Road for a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 28.

Crews said they were notified that someone was possibly trapped inside the vehicle; however, when first responders arrived, the patient was already out of the car.

UPDATE: 10/28 AT 1:10 P.M. CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Virginia Department of Transportation reports that the earlier reported crash on Timberlake Road is now cleared.

All east lanes are open.



CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Drivers traveling on Timberlake Road in Campbell County, just after Lynchburg, can expect delays due to a vehicle crash on Oct. 28.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the crash happened near Bee Drive and Oakdale Circle. Currently, the east left shoulder, left lane, and right lane are closed.

Traffic is backed up for almost a mile and VDOT says drivers are being directed onto the shoulder.

Anyone who is traveling in this area is encouraged to seek an alternative route.
