UPDATE: 6:40 p.m.: According to VDOT, the crash on Route 220 in Franklin County has been cleared.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A Sheriff’s cruiser has been involved in a crash in Frankin County near Rocky Mount on Route 220.
VDOT is reporting that southbound lanes just north of Rocky Mount are limited as the left shoulder and left lane are both closed.
There are no reports of injuries at the current time.
A WFXR viewer tells us that backups are reported to be approximately three miles.
