City Manager Richard Douglas has submitted his resignation to City Council.
Mayor Thomas Sibold confirms with WFXR News that Douglas’s resignation was submitted Thursday evening, during a special City Council meeting.
Douglas’ resignation is effective Friday morning.
According to Mayor Thomas Sibold, the City Attorney will handle Douglas’ severance pay and additional details.
Sibold says “Mr. Douglas worked hard for the City of Covington. We wish him well,” to WFXR News about Douglas’ departure.
His resignation comes two days after Chief of Police Anthony Morgan Jr. submitted his letter of resignation.
