Carroll County man arrested after search turns up meth, firearms

CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Tactical teams and Narcotics Investigators with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and the Twin County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the Dugspur section of Carroll County on Thursday night.

During the investigation, several firearms including long guns and handguns as well as digital scales, baggies, and crystal meth were found.

A $2,000 street value of the meth was seized.

Edward “Mo” Branch, of 392 Buffalo Road was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, 10 grams or more and possession of firearms while in possession of a schedule II drug.

Branch is being held without bond pending arraignment in Carroll County General District Court.

Additional charges are pending.
