CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has announced that one of their deputies has passed away.
Sheriff Kevin Kemp announced on the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, that Deputy Sheriff Todd Gwynn unexpectedly died on August 4. Kemp says Deputy Guynn was at his home when he suffered from a medical emergency.
When paramedics arrived, they worked diligently to save Deputy Gwynn but were unsuccessful.
Gwynn started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in December 2022. Just two months ago, he graduated from the New River Criminal Justice Academy. There he earned his law enforcement certification.
