Bedford Police Department need donations for kids in the community

Local News

The Bedford “Cop Camp” starts Monday and runs through the week.

Now the camp is free for kids to attend which is why they need lots of donations.

Usually there are about 130 to 150 kids who attend this camp at Bedford Middle School.

At camp they will learn about finger printing, safety skills, how police conduct investigations well as how to handle positive interactions with police.

Now the most important thing to know is with the hot days ahead, they need donations from people in the community to help these kids have a great time this week.

Items needed include: bottled water, Gatorade or any sports drinks, paper plates, paper towels, napkins, and plastic utensils.

They also ask for any monetary donations or gift cards as well so they can buy items they need.

Even though the camp starts Monday, they are taking donations throughout the week.

You can drop donations off at the Bedford Police Department.
