Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department responded to commercial fire Sunday.

Here is the information from the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page:

“Just before 1:30pm today AVFD was dispatched with Concord and Pamplin VFD for a commercial structure fire in the Town of Appomattox. AVFD had units in the area when the call was dispatched and they arrived to find that fire had consumed an outbuilding that had spread to a nearby building as well as a vehicle. Crews worked together to evacuate patrons, extinguish the fire, and overhaul the structure before clearing at 3:44pm. AVFD would like to thank all the mutual aid companies that responded today as well as the nearby community members that provided much drinks and refreshments. There were no injuries associated with the fire.”
