Angels of Assisi helping animals affected by Louisiana flooding

Local News

Angels of Assisi in Roanoke is helping rescue dogs affected affected by the devastating flooding in Louisiana.

Officials with Angels of Assisi say about 20 dogs will arrive at the shelter Sunday for veterinary treatment, care and adoption. Angels of Assisi is assisting the Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Rescue Team with this rescue.

This is the shelter’s second rescue in less than a week, so officials say foster homes for these dogs are in high demand. If you’re interested in helping foster any of the dogs, Angels of Assisi asks that you e-mail bhyler@angelsofassisi.org.
