Owner of Cucci’s Pizzeria in Covington dies; community pays tribute to well-respected entrepreneur

COVINGTON, Va. (WFXR) – If you have ever been to Covington, chances are you’ve stopped into Cucci’s Pizzeria.

On Friday, family members of the famed establishment announced that its pioneer, Victor Cucci, had passed away.

Victor and his wife came to Covington to open Cucci’s in 1977, read his obituary.

Victor and his family could be considered one of the most-popular families in Covington as virtually everyone has, at one time or another dined at Cucci’s and if you were there, chances are, so was Victor.

A private funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 18. The family will receive friends the night prior between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home in Covington.
