LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — For months, a new ALDI has been under construction in the Hill City, but now the grocery store is getting ready to open its doors.
ALDI has announced that a new location is set to open at 4026 Wards Road on Sept. 14. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off at 9 a.m. The store says the first 100 customers will receive a golden ticket that could be worth up to $100. Shoppers will also get a free ALDI shopping tote.
An ALDI employee will be there handing out tickets and totes; However, a limited amount is available.
Along with its grand opening, on Sept. 13, ALDI is inviting the community to a “sneak peek” of the new store. On Wednesday, shoppers can get a first look at the store and shop.
ALDI has over 700 locations across the United States including 74 across the Commonwealth. Their stores focus on saving money while featuring mainly ALDI-exclusive brands.
